Camp Gifford's MissionOur mission is to use nature and the great outdoors as a setting to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, teach environmental awareness, encourage pro-social behavior and safely provide an opportunity to every camper for fun and adventure. (To see The Salvation Army's International and local Mission Statements click "here") Camp GiffordCamp Gifford is a Christian camp owned and operated by The Salvation Army in Spokane, Washington. Camp Gifford operates primarily as a Summer Youth Camp as well as offering Retreat and Conference facilities to rental groups. Briefly...Camp Gifford provides affordable residential summer camping experiences to more than 1,000 children every summer. Our goal is to provide a week of camp to those children who would not otherwise have an opportunity to attend a summer camp. Primarily, we serve low-income, foster, homeless, single-parent and minority children.
