Recreational opportunities at Camp Gifford vary throughout the year with the seasons.  The really good news is that all the recreation is free at Camp Gifford when you book a retreat with us.  We'd love to have you join us for a fantastic, fun retreat.  If you have any questions  we'd love to answer them for you.  Give us a call at 509-233-2511 or email us at campgifford@aol.com .

Swimming Mini-Golf
Our swimming area includes a floating diving dock, constrained shallow section and a boat dock. Swimming can be an exciting part of your retreat or conference. Please know that you'll be responsible to provide a certified lifeguard if you plan to use the waterfront. Miniature gold is free to our retreat guests. Just check out the clubs and balls and have a great time!

Boating Recreation Room
Canoes and paddle boats are available seasonally for your enjoyment. Pool, ping-pong, foosball, air hockey, table games... Bring your own games or play ours. The rec room also has a candy and soda machine.

Hiking High and Low Ropes
There are lots of hiking trails, short and long, around our property and around Deer Lake.  We've got forest and wetlands trails (see "Discovery Zones" below) as well as longer hikes (two - six hours) with amazing views of Deer Lake. We have an extensive high and low ropes course. Two hours of high ropes are free to your retreat group. Talk to us about using our low ropes to do some team building as part of your retreat. Clicking on this picture will open a window with information about our ropes course.

Ball Field Compound
The ball field is great for soccer, tag games, kickball, and more. The compound sits in the middle of our lakeside program area near the dining hall. It's a great place for group games, initiatives and just hanging out.

Meadow Sand Volleyball Court

Our meadow is over 40 acres and provides a great area for a game of Capture the Flag or other large group game.

Our volleyball court is filled with washed sand and ready to go.
Discovery Zones

There are many discovery zones around the property for educational fun with your group.  We have self-guided hikes (Forest Walk and Wetlands Walk), and other eco-systems available for your use (waterfront and meadow).
We're in the process of developing ready-to-use classroom's in a box.  Complete classes in a box that need no prior knowledge of subject matter (e.g., teach a complete class on "Beavers" even if you know absolutely nothing about them).
